Description of Triangle: Calculates and Graphs Triangles
The program's input grid is at the left of the shown image.
The program is versatile in accepting for input various combinations of length measurements of
feet, inches, meters, etc may be specified as well as just decimal input. Some examples of feet/inch combinations are 45 ft. 10 1/4 , 17 ' 9- 5/ 16\" , 13 Feet 6 7 /8 in ,
1 FoOt 1 - 7 /8 in , 3 FT - 3 /4 . Meters and centimeters may be specified.
For angle measurements unlabeled inputs are taken as in degrees. Anything with pi in it is
considered to be in radians. Examples of that would be 2 pi/3, 2/3 pi, etc.
Watching the conversion in the center table of fields may help to see if an input is
interperted as expected.
Once a combination of three sides and angles are entered ("givens") into the entry grid shown at the left, the triangle is read
to be solved. If "autoSolve" is checked, upon leaving the third given a solution (or reasons why one is not possible)
is presented in the text box. If "autoSolve " is off or if one wishes to see the effects of changing the
Default Output parameter, the "Solve" button may be pressed.
When the solution is calculated the program passes the values
over to the table shown at the right. The Title field may be filled in. Pressing the "Graph Results" button
will call the php graphing programs.
The php graphing program checks that the fields labeled "dec values" represent a
